Le Département de Français et d’Italien et la Division des Littératures, Cultures et Langues (DLCL) de l’Université Stanford  recherchent un/e professeur/e assistant/e d’études francophones (menant à la titularisation). 

Le/la candidat/e retenu/e devra : 

- enseigner des cours dans le domaine des études francophones et plus particulièrement des cours de littérature africaine subsaharienne, aux niveaux gradué et sous-gradué (licence et doctorat).

- enseigner des cours pouvant s’intégrer dans le curriculum des études sous-graduées du Centre d’études comparatives de race et d’ethnicité ; devenir un membre personnel enseignant affilié au Centre. 

- maîtriser le français (et l’anglais) au niveau natif ou quasi-natif. La maîtrise d’autres langues, significatives pour le domaine de recherche, est un atout. 

Nous encourageons également les candidatures venant de titulaires (ou futurs titulaires) d’un doctorat en histoire, en sociologie, en études religieuses, en sciences politiques ou en anthropologie. Le/la candidat/e retenu/e devra avoir obtenu son doctorat au plus tard le 1erseptembre 2019, date d’embauche.

Assistant Professor in French Studies 
The department of French and Italian within the Division of Literatures, Cultures and Languages (DLCL) at Stanford University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in French Studies. Applicants will be expected to teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in the area of Francophone studies, with preference given to specialists of sub-Saharan African literature. Applicants also will be expected to offer courses that can be cross-listed in the undergraduate curriculum of the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, and to become a member of the Center’s affiliated faculty. Native or near native fluency in French (and English) is required; fluency in one or more additional relevant languages is preferred. Applicants with (or expecting) doctoral degrees in history, sociology, religious studies, political science, or anthropology are also encouraged to apply.
