Yale University - Open rank in 16th and/or 17th century French literature

The Yale University Department of French seeks to appoint a scholar specializing in French literature of the 16th and/or 17th century, beginning July 1, 2018.  Rank is open and appointments can be made at the assistant, tenured associate, or full professor levels.  Interest in interdisciplinary work and a demonstrated engagement with related fields of study are highly desirable.  The Ph.D. or equivalent degree within the first year and native or near-native command of French are required.  All applicants should submit a cover letter, research statement, and a CV with a list of publications.  Recent PhD and untenured candidates should also submit at least three letters of recommendation, academic transcripts, and a 20-page writing sample prepared for anonymous reading.  The application should be submitted online at http://apply.interfolio.com/43214.
